BUSSES TO NOTHERN SUBURBS:

All boys willing to pay a small amount for transport to and back from northern suburbs games are to put their names on the list on the sports noticeboard by Thursday.

 

TERM 3 MPL:

If you would like to change your MPL target for third term you must apply to Mr Thompson in writing by Friday.

 

GRADES 8 & 9 MATHEMATICS ENRICHMENT:

Anybody who wants to attend Thursday sessions this term is asked to write his name on the list outside B22, please. All welcome.

 

GRADE 10,11 & 12 LO:

Your tutor handed out a report on S.E.E.Day which you must complete and hand in on Wednesday to him/her. Those absent on that day - there is a report for you as well. Read the document.

 

Gr11 LO – REMINDER:

Your Work Shadow Report is due this Friday. There is also an LO Test on the 24/7/15, please read Chapter 11, units 1-5, pages 217 to 247 in preparation.

 

Gr12 LO – REMINDER:

TASK 4.1 is due this Thursday 23/7/15.    Task 4 is the last LO task, so do it well. Task 4.2 will be handed out next week.

 

ACADEMIC PREFECT VOTING:

●All boys are to check the board outside Mr Thompson's class (D33) or the Academic noticeboard (C30 corridor) to see if they qualify to vote (hint: it's all who reached MPL and Top 30s)

●Voting will be on Thursday during the usual congregation singing period. Only eligible voters may be excused from singing to vote.

 

SERVICE MEETING:

Service meeting in C32 at 1st break. All are welcome to attend.

 

COMMUNICATIONS MEETING:

WBAA:

All boys interested in joining the Wynberg Boys Acting Association to please meet Ms D at first break today.

 

SA TEEN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL:

Any boys interested in being a part of the SA Teen Short Film Festival, we will be submitting Short Films for this competition in the first week of September. It is an inter-schools competition, all are welcome. If you would like to know more, or would like to sign up, please meet in Ms. D’s classroom (D13) at second break today.

 

MUSIC:

·         Seth Dantu to see Mr Botha at 1st break

·         Grade 8 and 9 pupils wanting to do theory must meet in the AMC AT 1ST BREAK TODAY

·         All brass instrument players to meet in the AMC at 1st break today

 

CONCERT BAND:

Concert Band practices are every day at 07:00

CANOEING:

Wednesday 22nd July. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be no canoeing coaching this Wednesday afternoon at Zandvlei and the Peninsula Canoe Club (MC).

 

SQUASH:

·         The U19A, U19C and U19D teams are playing squash matches on Friday.

Names of teams are up on the notice board in the A corridor. Please check and tick off your name before the end of the day today.

·         Would Cameron Slade please see Mrs Vd Westhuizen at first break today in C13.

·         U15C, D and U15 Development squads are reminded of their practices today. A reminder that failure to attend practice without a valid excuse will result in a DT.

 

CRICKET:

14D Hockey Training Schedule: week ending Sunday, 26/07/15

Tuesday, 21/07/15 - Spanbou. 15:00-17:30. Meet in C21 at 14:40.

Wednesday, 22/07/15 - Astro training. 13:30-15:00.

Thursday, 23/07/15 - Astro training. 15:00-16:30. Meet in C21 at 14:40.

 

CYCLING:

All the cycling boys in C11 at first break regarding the Spur MTB series.

 

HOCKEY:

U16A hockey to meet in D23 at first break.

U16 hockey players that attend gym – Please note that gym has been cancelled this week!

 

Hockey Internal League: The Internal League will start as of Tomorrow evening. Players are requested to be there at 17h00 in their full team kit.
