GRADE 8 AND 9 MATHEMATICS ENRICHMENT

Afternoon enrichment sessions are available for 3 to 4 in B22 on Tuesday (Gr. 8) and Thursday (Gr. 9) afternoons, beginning this week. Any pupil who enjoys mathematics and wishes to extend his understanding is welcome.

 

Outdoor society

We will be going on a kloofing expedition trip (including 10 m jumps) to Crystal Pools on the way to Betty's Bay on Sunday 7th Feb. Places are limited, so first come, first serve. Speak to Mr Taylor if you are interested, and sign up on Moodle under the outdoor society page under culture/societies.

 

SCHOLAR RUGBY SEASON TICKETS FOR NEWLANDS 

2016 rugby season - includes all Vodacom Super Rugby, ABSA Currie Cup matches and an International Test match.

Gr 12 Maths intervention program:

The sign-up sheet for all boys who scored less than 40% last year is on the noticeboard outside Mr Thompson’s office. Please sign up by Thursday for your committed day. The list will come down this Thursday, with the first session starting on Friday. If you do not choose a day, don’t worry – I will do this for you.

SQUASH:

Information for the BOLAND JUNIOR Squash tournament is on the notice board in the A corridor. Please collect an entry form from Mrs Van der Westhuizen in C13 if you would like to enter this tournament. This tournament is open to all U14, U16 and U19 players.

The sign-up sheets are on the noticeboard outside Mr Thompson’s office. Please choose your session by Friday.

 

PAARL ATHLETICS 

All grade 8s and matrics are to check the sports notice board with regards to the buses and seating arrangements for Paarl athletics. If they are not able to attend then they are to speak to their house heads and get their names scratched off the lists as well as sign the lists. The tickets for the buses will cost R20, which is to be paid to your house prefect, boys are to do this as soon as possible.

 

Hartleyvale Summer Series – Hockey

Any boy that wishes to Ball Boy for the International matches happening on Thursday and Sunday must see Mr W Grobler at first break today. I need 6 boys for Thursday and 6 boys for Sunday. First come, first serve.

CANOEING – canoe coaching will start again next week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please put your names down on the coaching list on the Sports Office wall. Make sure that you tick whether or not you require transport – on 4 spaces are available on Mr. MacLean’s motor vehicle.

 

GRADE 12A Physical Education – the venue today in periods 7 & 8, (11h30 – 12h30) will be the Wynberg Junior School pool as the WBHS pool is out of action due to burst pipes.

 

WATER POLO – U14B/C – the training session for this evening at WBJS has been cancelled because the pool is being used for WBJS swimming coaching. We are trying to arrange another venue for this evening – please check out the Sports Notice board today.
