HAS YOUR TIE and BLAZER BEEN REMOVED?

Any boy who has had his tie and blazer removed MUST stand outside Mr van Schalkwyk’s office during BOTH breaks. Failure to arrive will result in detention.

MPL CHANGES:

Any boy wanting to request a change to his MPL, must put it in writing and hand to Mr Thompson by the end of the week.

 

ACADEMIC SUPPORT:

Could all boys who feel that they should/would like to attend academic support structures please go to your grade notice board and sign up.

 

GRADE 10 EXAMS / SCRIBES:

All boys who will be using scribes for the exams must please confirm this with Mrs Kelly as soon as possible

 

CHESS:

1.        All boys are reminded of their Internal league matches due to be played over the next three Wednesdays.

2.        Two teams will be touring in February 2016 – the top 8 on the ladder at the end of this year will travel.

3.        We are hosting a Blitz Doubles Tournament this Friday – three Wynberg teams are participating.

 

 

CHOIR:

Afternoon practices start next week

 

NEW VOCAL ENSEMBLE:

CONCERT BAND:

Practice at 1st break in the AMC – quick run-through of pieces for Sunday

 

De WAAL HOUSE:

A reminder to all De Waal boys to either bring a loaf of bread to school on Monday morning and give it to your tutor or to be in D11 at 7a.m on Tuesday morning to help make sandwiches.

TUTOR GROUP PHOTOS:

TODAY at 12.30 - MN, RH, VR, WE will have tutor group photos taken at tuckshop steps and Support Centre

DV, DW, LI, LO will have tutor period / House Assembly

RH and MN will have their photos in the foyer of the hall. RH will have theirs first. MN are to wait outside the Support Centre with their tutors until called

LO and LI will have their photos on the Tuckshop Steps. LO will have their photos first, while LI wait at the chess board with their tutors until they are called

 

Wynberg Cricket Boundary:

No boy is to stand on, bump over or move the cricket boundary on the Hawth (Cell-C). The ground staff will be installing the boundary rope – thereafter we need your help to ensure it looks aesthetically pleasing and professional.

 

Water Polo Fixtures Vs Bishops at Bishops:

Players are reminded that they have to arrive in full school uniform and may change after the match into their blue Wynberg shorts and sports shirt.

 

WATER POLO:

All Players - Please note that all water polo training sessions have started. Boys who miss any sessions going forward will be given DT. Roll call will be taken.

Failure to meet these requirements or the forgetting of kit or wearing inappropriate non-WBHS kit, will result in penalties.

 

TENNIS:

VERY IMPORTANT – All the players going on tour this weekend to be in the Jowell Quad at 13:00 for a photo.

 

ALSO – If you are in the 3rd, 4th and 5th team you need to tick off your name on the list at C11 that you know about your tennis match on Monday.
