MAJOR PRODUCTION:

“The Man who Came to Dinner” takes place at WGHS from 3-5 September. Our boys are performing, so please support! Tickets are R30 for scholars and R50 for adults. Tickets available at bursas office or bookings@wynghs.co.za or at the door

 

NUSSBAUM CONCERT:

Tonight – all performers who requested tickets (on the list) have been allocated tickets for their parents. Please let your parents know about the cocktail function in the Bill Bowden from 18:15

If boys are in a photograph on Friday morning, they need to report to the AMC 15 mins before their photo is taken. If they are not in a photo, they only need to be at school at 10h00 for Sports Meetings and 10h10 for Tutor Period and roll call.

BACKSTAGE CREW FOR MAJOR  PRODUCTION:

All boys who put their names onto the list must check the notice board today.

The schedule gives times when you are needed at rehearsals.

 

GRADE 12 LO:

Exam Tip no.3

(1)     REDRESS - to set right, to rectify something.

(2)     PROTOCOLS – prescribed procedures

(3)     ENDEMIC – generally found among certain people, or in a certain area. 

(4)     VIABILITY – the ability to grow and develop.

(5)     Make sure you review the BILL OF RIGHTS.

The final balance of LO Work will be handed out tomorrow. All relevant marks for the YEAR MARK (apart from the second exam) will be on the LO Notice Board on Wednesday.

REMINDER: The LO Examination on the fourth September! Nine to eleven.

 

MATRICS:

All matrics who are not allowed to attend the Junior School Flag-raising this morning, to meet in Mr Richardson’s office now.

 

CHEERLEADING:

Meeting at 1st break in the support centre for all cheerleaders and boys who want to be involve in cheering. All welcome

 

PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY

Meeting at 2nd break in the museum for all photographers. Any boy who wants to join is welcome.

 

Grade 8 VocabAfrica Online Vocabulary Test:

Any Grade 8 learners are interested in taking part in an online, national vocabulary test.

First place from the Western Cape receives R800. Please meet in C31 at 1st Break. (Mo)

 

NUSSBAUM CONCERT:

All boys who requested tickets have been allocated tickets. Parents are invited to a pre- concert function in the Bill Bowden from 18:00

 

CHOIR:

Must be at school tonight at 7:30 pm. Winter uniform, long sleeve white shirt, grey socks, zebra tie & polished shoes. Report to D13 – you can do homework until your performance. The choir is at the end of the concert.

 

VISUAL ART:

We need 2Litre used ice cream tubs in the art room. Please hand in to Co or Dd

 

OUTDOOR SOCIETY:

Our first hike will be on the 6th September up Devils peak. Sign up on Moodle under "Societies and clubs -> Outdoor Society"

14D Hockey Training Schedule: week ending Sunday, 30/08/15

Thursday, 27/08: Astro training. 15:00-16:30. Meet in C21 at 14:40.

All members of the team are expected at all training sessions this week. Speak to Mr Hewett if you foresee any problems fulfilling these commitments.
