GRADE 11 HISTORY:

Any members of the Grade 11 History class interested in attending the acclaimed anti-apartheid play, ‘Sizwe Banzi is Dead’, at the Baxter Theatre on the evening of Tuesday, 01/09/15 should see Mr Hewett in C21 at the beginning of 1st break.

 

GRADE 10 STUDY GROUP:
The grade 10 study group has started. Compulsory attendance for all boys at risk.

 

GRADE 9 VISUAL ART REMINDER:

Rewrite is TODAY (Thursday) 2nd break or after school. This includes absentees who missed the test

 

EXTRA MATHS AND PHYSICS:

Reminder that there will be extra maths and physics sessions with the interns today. This will take place in D33 after school (3-4pm).

All grades welcome but matrics are especially encouraged to attend

 

EXTRA MATHS with Miss LINDSAY:

Is cancelled today as she has to attend a meeting.

 

HIGH SCHOOL JAM at GRAND ARENA:

Boys who wish to purchase tickets for High School Jam at Grand Arena can purchase them from Che Charles, Micaiah Christopher, Jesse Meintjes, Jesse Julies, David Franke or Paul Botes (Jazz Band Matrics) for R50.

 

The performance is on Saturday the 22nd at 11am. Boys do not have to wear uniform but are encouraged to wear blue to show support.

 

McNAUGHTON HOUSE:

Meeting in D11 at 1st break

 

Cheering today will be in the hall due to boys not having their blazers for the blazer cheer.

 

CULTURAL EVENING TONIGHT:

This takes place in the Hall, starting at 18:00 and will finish at about 21:00. The meal costs R20. Cold drinks are on sale at interval. Wear school uniform please.

 

NEW DRUM TEACHER:

There is a new drum teacher at the music block everyone Monday. There is still some space for new pupils who are interested in learning how to play drums.

Claude Cozens is a young professional drummer who has performed around the country and also abroad like France and Norway. He teaches all styles.

Go speak to Mr Botha or Mr Hellaby at the music block if you are interested.

 

CONSOLE GAMING:

Full Society meeting for console gaming society at 1st break

 

OUTDOORS SOCIETY:

All boys who are interested in being involved with a planning committee for the Outdoors Society must meet in D32 at 1st break.

 

PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY:

Meeting at second break with Mrs Robbertze in the museum. All photographers to attend. Anyone else is welcome.

 

CHEERLEADING:

Discussion meeting at first break at the support centre. All welcome All cheerleaders to attend

 

CULTURE COMMITTEE:

Meeting in B34 at first break today, all welcome

 

VISUAL ART:

We need 2Litre used ice cream tubs in the art room. Please hand in to Co or Dd

HOCKEY:

14D Hockey Training Schedule: week ending Sunday, 23/08/15

Thursday, 20/08/15: Astro training. 15:00-16:30. Meet in C21 at 14:40

U16A/B hockey - practice is cancelled tonight. There will still be PC training from 17:00-18:00 as per usual.

 

HOCKEY UMPIRES:
All hockey umpires to come to c23 for a meeting at first break.

 

SQUASH:

There will be a meeting for ALL U19 squash players in C13 at first break today. ALL must attend including the development squash players.

 

RUGBY:

All U16A Squad members must attend a meeting in C33 immediately following congregational practice today. Very important meeting please.
