BOYS WITHOUT TIES AND BLAZERS:

BUSSES TO NOTHERN SUBURBS:

All boys willing to pay a small amount for transport to and back from northern suburbs games are to put their names on the list on the sports noticeboard by the end of 1st Break.

 

TERM 3 MPL:

If you would like to change your MPL target for third term you must apply to Mr Thompson in writing by Friday.

 

GRADES 8 & 9 MATHEMATICS ENRICHMENT:

Anybody who wants to attend Thursday sessions this term is asked to write his name on the list outside B22, please. All welcome.

 

GRADE 10, 11 & 12 LO:

S.E.E.Day Report - was due yesterday.  I have given some tutors an extra day - hand in to your tutor. Those absent on that day - there is a report for you as well. Read the document.

 

GRADE 11 LO – REMINDER:

Your Work Shadow Report is due this Friday 24/7/15, hand it in at the beginning of the test period. Please read Chapter 11, units 1-5, pages 217 to 247 in preparation.

 

Gr12 LO – REMINDER:

TASK 4.1 is due TODAY. Your English teachers will collect them. As Mr Murison is looking after two classes, please leave your tasks in the marked folders outside the CWESI office. NB – anyone not handing in this task must be prepared to complete it in CHWS on Monday.  You have been warned!

Task 4 is the last LO task, so do it well. Task 4.2 will be handed out next week.

 

ACADEMIC PREFECT VOTING:

VOTING IS TODAY during the usual congregation singing period IN THE HALL.

Only eligible voters may be excused from singing to vote. 

● Check the board outside Mr Thompson's class (D33) or the Academic noticeboard (C30 corridor) to see if you qualify to vote (hint: it's all who reached MPL and Top 30s)

 

ACADEMIC COMMITTEE:

Meeting today at first break in D31. All to attend.

 

KINECT SOCIETY:

All boys who would like to go on a youth camp in August, please meet in Mrs. Wilsons’ class at 2nd break. (C34).

 

McNAUGHTON:

McNaughton meeting in D11 at 1st break

 

VAN RIEBEECK IH PLAY:

All those involved in IH Plays to meet at D34 during 1st break. DT will be given to those who didn’t pitch

WBJS FUNDRAISER:

They have tickets for the Funny Festival at the Baxter Theatre for Sat 25 July, 20:00 at R150. The tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis

VENUE – JK Oval Cricket Pavilion.

Kit – Track shoes, WBHS blue shorts, WBHS branded golf/sports shirt

If cold – WBHS track suit. Failure to wear the proper kit will result in penalties.

N.B. ALL LEARNERS MUST ALSO BRING ALONG A PEN/PENCIL WITH WHICH TO WRITE.

 

CRICKET:

14D Hockey Training Schedule: week ending Sunday, 26/07/15

Thursday, 23/07/15 - Astro training. 15:00-16:30. Meet in C21 at 14:40.

 

SQUASH:

Reminder of practices today:

U15A/B:               3 – 4 at BB

U15C/D:               4 – 5 at BB

U19C/D:               4 -5 at Silverhurst

Failure to attend practice will result in a DT.

 

The U15 A team will be playing a match tomorrow against Paul Roos at Bill Bowden. This is a make-up match from last term. Players must check the notice board in the A corridor and please tick off their names by the end of second break today.

CANOEING NEXT WEEK:

Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th July – booking lists are up on the Sports Office wall – interested paddlers should fill their names in so that transport can be arranged (MC).

 

 

RUGBY:

U16A Rugby - All U16A rugby players are to meet in C33 at the start of second break. Important 10min meeting. Be prompt please.

U 16 B rugby - Can the following boys see Mr van der Merwe at 1st break: Tyler Mentoor, Aiden Petersen, Aiden McLaughlin, Ross Engelbrecht, Luke Burrow, Sebastian Nel, Michael Rosseau, Imran Waggie, Taine Hackett and Abu van der Schyff.
